Pratikim disiplin karşıtı bir bakış açısıyla işbirliği ve çok ölçekli eylemlere açıktır. Otobiyografiyi, hem benzersizliği hem de pluraliteyi ortaya çıkarmak için “ben”in yolculuğuna dikkat çeken bir araştırma metodolojisi olarak keşfediyorum. Yürümeyi, çizim yapmayı, yazmayı ve diğer bedensel yapım biçimlerini, dünyaya açık olmanın, şeylere performatif ve barışçıl bir şekilde dokunmanın bir yolu olarak arıyorum. Kolektif olarak çalıştığımda, süreçlerim yansıtır, yaratır ve deneyimlerimi paylaşır. Benim entelektüel ve kolektif araştırmalarım ve ilgili çalışmalarım, analog, yavaşlatıcı uygulamalarla dayanışma içindedir. Bunlar arasında, çizimlere otobiografik ve taktiksel bir eylem olarak odaklanıyorum. Nefes alıcı bir çizim ortaya çıkarmak için ince bir direnç aracılığıyla bölgeleri ve disiplin sınırlarını kasıtlı bir şekilde aşarım. Malzemeler, eylemler ve yüzeyler ile kendilerini gizleyen çizgilerin dezenfekte edilmesini ve yeniden inşa edilmesini amaçlıyorum, böylece daha yaygın bir “arhitektonik çizim” yaratıyorum. Çizim pratikim, çizgiler ve ayrı dünyalar arasındaki karmaşık bir ilişkiyi karıştırmaya çalışıyor. Geniş kapsamlı bir açıklama yapmaya çalışıyorum.

Yetkililer ve ince direniş ve yapım ve hikaye anlatımı ile derinden ilgileniyorum: kartografi ve haritalar olarak çizim, spekülatif fabulasyon ve konfabulasyon, spekülatif çizim ve deneysel çizim araçları, mimaride feminist temsil yöntemleri ve uygulamaları, bir kadın taktiği olarak dokunma, çizim / çizgi-tekst / kelime ilişkileri, yapım aracılığıyla düşünme, yeni analog yaratıcılık formları. Önemli ilgi alanlarımla ilgili olarak, makaleler, eserler, kitap bölümleri ve editörlükler, davetli dersler ve eğitilmiş atölye çalışmaları yaptım; kamu konuşmaları ve atölyeleri tasarladım ve organize ettim ve çekirdek ve seçmeli dersler yaptım. 2017 yılından bu yana Manifold’da “The Tools of the Hand Becoming Extinct” adlı kitabın bir kolumnistiyim.

A tender map piece of an imaginary island, March 2023

Plate 5 is a piece of a 9-plate-collective map made within “A Tender Map-Making Workshop: Imaginary Island” designed and run by Gökçen Erkılıç in the scope of the Dirty Drawings no.2 designed and curated Bilge Bal between December 2022-May 2023. Plate 5 is a monochrome experimental drawing in company with Madeleine de Scudéry's la Carte du Tendre, Frédérique Aït-Touati et al.'s Terra Forma and Alexander von Humboldt’s invention of nature drawings. A collective of emotions are awakened by ever-changing geographic formations through the interior of the Earth at the dry land, terra firma. All in all, it is not a rigorous map piece,but more a messy, dirty one, an attempt to habiter parmi les vivants. Layers of single lines, hatches and black stains, re-de/formations and change of mood through them in a week. Here is a low-resolution /loose geography with intense feelings, life points, living landscapes, blurry borders, escape time, ground, resources.

Blow the soul. Create many voices from one! A diverse melody! It is your turn to manipulate the text and plant your own lips and poses, leaps and pauses! Think about how the words, their echoes and shadows change when they are shared between sounds and silences. It is an experimental workshop embracing John Cage's poetic musical text entitled “Lecture on Nothing” as an artistic method. If Hasköy had a text (ie. a lullaby, a nursery rhyme, a fairy tale?), could we create it all over again with our sounds, silences, and rhythms as ourselves? S [ o und / ile n ce] ! , will try to establish this environment and record all sounds and silences. Eventually, it will produce a record which has a plural rhythm.

The Puzzle Construction

A Sustained Inquiry into Two Intimate Instruments: Table & Toolbox, Designed & Constructed 2021

Exhibited in the “2021 Young Emerging Architects Selection & Exhibition” celebrating the Diversity of Architecture Beyond Known Practices, the Circle, Istanbul, January-April 2022

The puzzle construction is designed & constructed in the COVID-19 Pandemic for a migratory day-dreamer who draws out of the doors. It is a portable structure for an itinerant consist of three elements: A tool box including ordinary and extraordinary drawing instruments, a transparent tabula for drawing at the top and its box for displaying several drawings under, which can also transform into a backpack together and a scaffolding to hold all together. One can fix the tool box into two levels on the scaffolding. The details of system have a dialogue with the tool box.It explores the modes of being on the table as well as constructing a table through verbal, visual and tectonic conversations. Table is redreamed and reconstructed by Bilge. And it is living. Papers and several tools are left for you (X). Now, you (X) are invited to day-dream about X’s table through constructing lines on Bilge’s table.
